- L’abito indossato dai judoka, il judogi, fa parte integrante del combattimento e la sua grandezza e stabilita del regolamento
in base alla stazza dell’atleta, poiche una taglia troppo piccola renderebbe di fatto molto piu complicate le prese dell’
avversario. In questo caso, pero, l’atleta ungherese Hedvig Karakas, ventiquattrenne medagliata di bronzo agli Europei di
Montpellier nella categoria 57 kg, e stata squalificata dal Grand Prix de L’Avana per aver indossato un judogi troppo grande.
La magiara, che aveva chiuso la prova cubana in terza posizione, e stata contattata con una lettera dalla Federazione
Internazionale di Judo (IJF), che esige la restituzione della medaglia e che le ha gia detratto 120 punti dal ranking mondiale,
privandola cosi di un risultato valido per le qualificazioni a Rio 2016. L’atleta ha spiegato il suo punto di vista, affermando
di aver indossato l’abito di una sua compagna di squadra dopo averlo appositamente cucito, ma una cucitura avrebbe ceduto
proprio durante un incontro: “Durante il mio terzo incontro con la tedesca l’abito ha ceduto. L’arbitro l’ha visto, ma non ha
detto niente. Dopo mi hanno dato un altro judogi che ho usato fino alla medaglia di bronzo”.
A sorprendere e soprattutto la tempistica, visto che il provvedimento e arrivato un mese dopo lo svolgimento del torneo.
Ora Hedvig Karakas attende il risultato ricorso, presentato proprio perche “di solito, e vietato combattere in un abito piu
piccolo, ma io ne stavo indossando uno piu grande”, come ha affermato.

A portuguesa Telma Monteiro assumiu-se hoje orgulhosa por liderar o ‘ranking’ mundial de judo na categoria de -57kg.
“Sou n.o 1 do ‘ranking’ mundial! Orgulho em todo o meu caminho ate aqui. Muito feliz por por Portugal no topo do Mundo”,
escreveu hoje a judoca natural de Almada, de 29 anos, na sua pagina na rede social Facebook, apos o seu regresso ao primeiro
lugar da hierarquia.
Telma Monteiro, que soma 2.136 pontos, ‘destronou’ a francesa Automme Pavia, que ocupa o segundo lugar, com 2.110.
As japonesas Nae Udaka, campea do mundo, e Kaori Matsumoto, campea olimpica, seguem nos nono e 12.o posto, respetivamente.

地元開催となる来夏のリオデジャネイロ五輪を「集大成」と位置づけ、強化に励んでいる。
同国の男子トップ選手１１人を引き連れて４日に来日し、約１０日間の日程で、恒例の日本合宿中。
「リオ五輪では男子でメダル３個が目標。自信はある」と力を込める。
篠原監督が日本で春と冬の２回、欧州でも数多く合宿を積むのは海外から学ぶ姿勢の表れだ。
フランスやドイツなど欧州では主に実戦型の練習に交じって攻防を修練。一方、来日は「日本が重んじる基本を学ぶため」だ。
５日は東京都北区の味の素ナショナルトレーニングセンターで、全日本男子の合宿に参加。
２０１２年ロンドン五輪１００キロ超級銅メダル、ラファエル・シルバらが寝技や組み手争いなどの鍛錬を積んだ。
篠原監督はその姿を眼光鋭く見守り、練習後は選手を集めて細かく指示していた。
祖父母がブラジルに移り住んで農業に励み、父の篠原正夫さんはサンパウロで柔の道をきわめた。
名門道場を築き上げ、１９８８年ソウル五輪９５キロ級金メダルのアウレリオ・ミゲル氏らも輩出した。
篠原監督も現役時代、６０キロ級で８０年モスクワ、８４年ロサンゼルスの両五輪に出場。
「ルイス・シノハラ」の名で広く浸透し、指導者としては、男子代表を０４年アテネ五輪から率い、
来夏が監督として４度目の五輪だ。過去３大会とも男子は銅メダル２個だったが、
自国開催を前に選手個人にもブラジル柔道連盟にも企業の協賛は手厚くなっているといい、目標のメダル３個に追い風が吹いている。
ロンドン五輪では、女子４８キロ級で、サラ・メネセスがブラジル女子初の金メダルをつかんだ。
「ブラジルでも柔道は普及が進み、サッカー、バレーボール、水泳に続く人気競技となった。
私も長くなったし、リオ五輪を最後に、新しい指導者に譲りたい」と篠原監督。五輪まで残り１年３カ月を切り、いよいよ総仕上げに入る。

As President of the International Judo Federation Vizer is masterminding a new campaign to get every youngster to take part
in the sport.
And he even urged the pampered Premiership stars of Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City to take up
the sport which originated in Japan.
“There are 22 million people around the world who regularly take part in Judo, “ he said.
“It can be a crucial part of a young person's development.
“And top football sides could easily include it in their training and development programmes.”
But his concern is not for the elite of the sporting world; it is to use judo worldwide as a force for good.
The sport has a “Judo for Peace” project which it has implemented in many of the world's most dangerous hotspots.
“In crisis zones around the globe we are there to help people get back on their feet," he said.
“We have helped out in Sierra Leone after the Ebola outbreak, and in Burundi after the ongoing problems there.
“It's part of our philosophy: judo is for peace.
“In Nepal - we were there even before their terrible earthquake - we have got judo into every orphanage, to give children
who have lost their mums and dads the chance to take part in the sport.
“We have projects for children in the refugee camps who've fled into Turkey from the ISIS onslaught and the civil war in
Syria and Iraq. And we have a programme in Palestine too.”
After fleeing Romania and pursuing his dream of becoming a Judo coach Vizer held down three part-time jobs each day -
as a waiter, laundryman and bodyguard.
Then he returned to Romania in 1990 - months after the revolution that overthrew the Communist dictatorship of
Nicolae Ceausescu - to begin importing and exporting fruit.
He then was the first person to launch judo clubs - using the training he had enjoyed in his home country as a young
army cadet.
“I have been very fortunate to have a successful business career and there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that my
love of judo has been an integral part of that.
“It instils discipline and good judgement and honesty - and overcoming the odds to create success."
He was elected President of the International Judo Federation in 2007.
The World Championships, late next month in Kazakhstan, will be televised live or as highlights in many countries -
including in Britain for the first time.
He is delighted that judo is part of the school programmes in over 30 countries - and wants to see it as an official sport
inside British schools too.
“I would suggest to all parents of children in the UK and other countries that they encourage their sons and daughters
o take part in the sport.
“You can build a personality around judo ? it's a charter for life."

- Piu passano i giorni, piu la versione che la federazione vorrebbe far passare di quello che abbiamo ribattezzato “caso MaddalonI”
prende le sembianze di una farsa. I dati di fatto, invece, continuano a propendere per la versione che noi abbiamo sostenuto fin
dall’inizio, quella di una decisione presa dall’alto all’ultimo momento per dimezzare il numero degli atleti convocati per i Mondiali
di Astana 2015, tale da provocare le dimissioni dell’allenatore Pino Maddaloni.
Andiamo con ordine, ricostruendo ancora una volta i fatti. Secondo il comunicato stampa federale, il taglio dei componenti della
squadra sarebbe stato deciso il 10 luglio, “in occasione della riunione del Consiglio di Settore“, un margine di tempo che
sembrerebbe ragionevole, qualora fosse vero. In realta, il Grand Slam di Tjumen’ (Russia), ultima prova alla quale la federazione
faceva riferimento prima dell’appuntamento iridato, si e svolto il 18 e 19 luglio, ma dopo questo torneo nulla e stato comunicato
a Pino Maddaloni. La comunicazione, come abbiamo avuto modo di ribadire piu volte, e arrivata solamente un paio di giorni prima
della partenza della squadra per Tel Aviv, dove la nazionale italiana avrebbe dovuto preparare (e sta preparando) i Mondiali di
Astana in compagnia di altri atleti internazionali come gli ucraini, i bielorussi, i greci e naturalmente gli israeliani. A confermarlo
e lo stesso Pino Maddaloni, che sulle pagine de Il Mattino ha dichiarato: “Volevo portare otto ragazzi che hanno dato tutto
sudando due anni. Ne discuto con il presidente, con il Consiglio. Alla fine mi chiamano il 31 luglio e mi dicono solo quattro di loro.
Nessuna spiegazione“. E poi aggiunge: “Solo una cosa vedo. I quattro ragazzi che partono appartengono a quattro societa diverse“:
una scelta dunque che servirebbe per garantire un equilibrio tra i quattro gruppi sportivi piu importanti e non scontentare nessuno
(Fiamme Oro per Elio Verde, Fiamme Gialle per Antonio Ciano, Carabinieri per Walter Facente e Fiamme Azzurre per Domenico Di Guida).
Ricevuta la lista di punto in bianco, Maddaloni ha tentato prima di far tornare la federazione sui suoi passi e poi, non volendo
accettare lo smembramento della formazione con la quale aveva lavorato tutta la stagione, ha deciso di non partire per Israele,
lasciando le sue funzioni, unica scelta possibile per mantenere la pace con la propria coscienza. Se la lista fosse arrivata prima
nelle mani del campione olimpico di Sydney 2000, Maddaloni si sarebbe dimesso gia prima, senza il bisogno di aspettare l’ultimo
momento, e soprattutto ci sarebbe stato il tempo per riprogrammare la partenza verso Tel Aviv per soli quattro atleti. Ribadiamo,
infatti, che in Israele dovevano recarsi tutti gli otto selezionati da Maddaloni, come dimostrano le foto postate sui social network,
a partire quella che potete vedere in alto, pubblicata da Elio Verde per fare il tifo in occasione della finale che ha visto la vittoria
di Giovanni Esposito ai Mondiali cadetti. Cosa c’e di strano? C’e che oltre ai quattro selezionati per Astana (lo stesso Verde,
Antonio Ciano, Walter Facente e Domenico Di Guida) e presente anche Carmine Di Loreto, l’atleta che gia agli Europei di Baku
ha rappresentato l’Italia nella categoria 60 kg e che per Maddaloni avrebbe dovuto combattere anche ai Mondiali. Che ci fa Di
Loreto? Con Emanuele Bruno ed Andrea Regis acciaccati, Marco Maddaloni che ha deciso di non partire per protesta sfogando
tutta la sua rabbia su Facebook, alla fine sono stati solamente in cinque a partire degli otto scelti da Pino, con il volenteroso
Carmine che ha deciso comunque di andare ad allenarsi con i suoi compagni di squadra. Altrimenti, seguendo la versione federale,
essendo il training camp di Tel Aviv programmato per i soli convocati mondiali, non ci sarebbe dovuto essere neppure il giovane campano.

otto a quattro "per scarsa competitivita". Non ha partecipato allo stage di Tel Aviv ed e stato sospeso
Non sara Pino Maddaloni a guidare gli azzurri del judo ai prossimi Mondiali di Astana, in programma dal 24 al 30 agosto:
il ct, olimpionico a Sydney 2000, 'monumento' del judo italiano, si e detto "molto amareggiato" per la scelta della Federazione
di ridurre da 8 a 4 atleti la squadra che andra in Kazakistan. Per questo ha deciso di non partire per lo stage di Tel Aviv ed e
stato sospeso dalla Federazione. Alla base del taglio, replica il presidente federale Falcone, "c'e la scarsa competitivita".
Gli atleti selezionati saranno guidati ad Astana dal direttore tecnico nazionale Kiyoshi Murakami, dall'allenatore Dario Romano
e dal collaboratore tecnico Francesco Bruyere, il quale, in accordo con il direttore tecnico, sostituira Maddaloni alla guida della
squadra maschile.
Alla rassegna iridata saranno complessivamente nove gli azzurri in gara: si tratta di cinque donne, Valentina Moscatt (48 kg),
Odette Giuffrida (52 kg), Giulia Quintavalle (57 kg), Edwige Gwend (63 kg), Assunta Galeone (78 kg) e quattro uomini, Elio Verde
(66 kg), Antonio Ciano (81 kg), Walter Facente (90 kg), Domenico Di Guida (100 kg).
Tra gli esclusi anche il fratello di Maddaloni, Marco: "Io non guardo i nomi, da padre di famiglia combatto per tutti i miei figli e
per me c'e stata una palese mancanza di fiducia nei miei confronti". Ma, replica la Federazione, il 'taglio' e dovuto ai modesti
risultati ottenuti ai recenti Giochi europei, "dove ha dimostrato scarsa competitivita" sostiene il presidente Mimmo Falcone.
Che parla di dimissioni di fatto, visto che il ct si sarebbe "autoescluso". "Dimissioni? Posso dire che sono molto amareggiato.
Io ho lasciato il ritiro - spiega Maddaloni - Ora aspetto che loro capiscano l'errore. Al momento non ho ricevuto nemmeno una
telefonata. In caso contrario... vedremo". Le posizioni al momento appaiono inconciliabili. Il presidente Falcone parla di "decisione
infantile" ed "atteggiamento non responsabile". Maddaloni "ha mancato di rispetto per l'organo che gestisce la Federazione".
La riduzione "e stata decisa con una delibera del 10 luglio e comunicata per tempo a Maddaloni. La squadra era andata male a
Baku. Si e evidenziato un problema di scarsa competitivita". Meglio pochi ma buoni, insomma. Una scelta che Maddaloni non ha
condiviso, sentendosi esautorato dal suo ruolo di ct.

count for these Olympics. It only took one American athlete, Michael Phelps, to get more gold medals than the entire Dutch Olympic team.
You might want to go back and reanalyze your thought process on how you came to this faulty conclusion. You sound like you are 12 yo

Winter Olympics and count how many you've won. Now that's done by several athletes in different disciplines. Now that's impressive.

lusos por ocasiao do Grand Slam de Paris, um dos torneios mais conceituados do mundo e que Telma venceu ja em duas ocasioes.
"Vou ser operada a menos de seis meses dos Jogos Olimpicos. Fiquei triste. Mas depois, apesar de tudo, ainda encontrei motivos para
agradecer", salientou a judoca na terca-feira, no mesmo dia em que o Benfica comunicou a necessidade de cirurgia.
Na sua carreira, Telma Monteiro ja esteve em tres Jogos Olimpicos, em Atenas2004 (9.a classificada) e em Pequim2008 (9.a) e em
Londres2012 (17.a), ficando sempre aquem do seu estatuto de topo na hierarquia mundial.
Aos 30 anos e quando ja conquistou quase tudo, num palmares em que tem tambem um triunfo num Masters -- competicao que no final
da epoca reune os mais bem classificados -, Telma Monteiro continua a objetivar uma medalha nos Jogos do Rio de Janeiro.
Atualmente a judoca do Benfica e quarta classificada nos -57 kg no 'ranking' mundial, uma posicao perfeitamente elegivel para o Rio2016 e
quando se apuram as 14 primeiras em cada categoria, com cada pais a poder qualificar apenas uma atleta.
