難しいことは抜きにして（楽器できない人間は語るな、なんて言わないで）、
いわゆる「プログレッシヴ・ロック」が、ジャズに限らず、様々なジャンルを
「お手本」的に取り入れて来た事実はあったわけで、
「プログレを、その周辺の音楽まで含めて、いろんな人が、
いろんな視線で、勝手気ままに語ってみるのも面白いんじゃないか？」
みたいな解釈で、ゼロからやり直すのもいいんじゃない？
考え方や好みは人それぞれだし、唯一の正解があるってもんでもない、っていう
ことを前提として、みんなが話せばいいと思うんだけどね。

プログレ自体が、かなり多様なスタイルの音楽を含んでいて、
実際は、簡単に一まとめにできないということを、皆が知っていると思われる。
だから、「プログレの次に聴く音楽」という表現自体が、じつに曖昧模糊としていて、
具体性を欠いているとしか言いようが無い。
それまで、どのような音楽を聴いていて、プログレと呼ばれる音楽の、どの部分に到達したのか、
それだけでも、ほぼ無数のパターンが考えられる。
ジャズをバックグラウンドに持つ、プログレ・ミュージシャンも少なくないので、
そういうジャズ的な部分に惹かれたとすると、そこからジャズ・マニアへと移行するケースも
あるんじゃない？
と言っても、それは、音楽体験の少ない、中学生・高校生ぐらいまでの話だね。
全スレでも、極端に偏った過激な書き込みを除けば、だいたいこんな感じの結論が
出てたんじゃないの？

その頃は、ロックにはほとんど無関心だったと言ってる。
ナイスの３ｒｄアルバムなんか、かなりジャズ色強いし、
ＥＬ＆Ｐ結成後も、ジャズからの引用は多いよね。
スポーツには無縁だしな。そのリズミックでないというのが致命的な欠点な
わけだ。ジャズロックならめっちゃ楽しいけどな。
そんなことも知らないのか１は
ジャズ聴いて退屈しない人もいるんだけどねぇ。
個人的な感じかたを、普遍的なことのように言わないほうがいいかと…。
釣られるなよ。
だから、前スレが、あれだけ荒れたんじゃない？
あれだけ荒れるっていうのも、滅多にないよ。
クラシックを思い切り馬鹿にしてるところが最高にロックだ！

といった作品より十分、鑑賞に堪えられますな。
それは無理。アメリカとヨーロッパのごく一部とわが日本のそのまたごく一部
ぐらい。英なんか全然見事なくらい、ない。
そう思いたいんだったら、そう思えばいい。

そういう視点で全てを判断するのも、一個人の自由だと思うし、否定するつもりはない。
ただ、それが普遍的な考え方かどうかは、大いに疑問だけどね。
「普遍性」の証明として、現在の音楽市場の売上を引き合いに出してきたけど、それって確かなの？
仮に確かだとしても、「普遍的」と言うには、過去、あるいは未来に100年〜200年と、
時間を広げた歴史的観点からも、論じる必要もありそうだけど…。
個人的には、今売れている音楽が、すべて面白いとは思えないんだよね。
実際、ヒット・チャートに登場する曲の大半が、ぼくには用は無い。
世界的には無名な民俗音楽やフォルクローレにも、個性的な魅力を持ったミュージシャンが多い。
ひとつジャンルに偏ることなく、色々な種類の音楽を楽しんでる。
ロックは、今楽しんでいる音楽の中のごく一部に過ぎない。
ジャズは、退屈どころか、ロック以上の魅力を感じるので、
聴く比率もそちらのほうに傾くと思う。
プレスリーは人気者かもしれないが、ＥＬ＆Ｐやクリムゾンがいつ世界中に受け入れられたんだ？
